DIstributed ALgorithms and Network Protocols
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The DIALNP research group was split!
The members of the DIALNP group are continuing their research work in other groups and institutions. Please check out the GSD group hosted in the INESC-ID and the GLOSS hosted in the LASIGE for updated work of these researchers.
Description
The (DIALNP) "DIstributed ALgorithms and Network Protocols" was a research group of the LaSIGE in Department of Computer Science at Faculdade de Ciencias of Universidade de Lisboa between 2001 and 2007. Its activities were devoted to the study of algorithmic, middleware and communications support to build complex and dynamic distributed applications.
The activities of the group were centered in supporting different classes of applications, including semantic-aware publish-subscribe systems (see SHIFT and IndiQoS projects), multi-user object oriented environments (see MOOSCO project), probabilistic protocols and multi-user games (see SEMP2P, RUMOR and P-SON projects), replicated persistent object systems (see GlobData, STRONGREP projects and more recently, the GORDA project) and adpative mobile and ad hoc networks and applications (see MiCAS project).
